Research seminar: Experimental design

The Department of Research and Innovation Support, in collaboration with the Department of Library Services, cordially invites you to attend this workshop which will cover elements of experimental design to ensure that data collection is aligned with research questions.

Presenter: Prof Ndeke Musee.

Prof Musee Musee joined the University of Pretoria as an Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering Department in February 2015. Previously he was a Principal Research Scientist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for close to eight years. His current research is on risk assessment of nanotechnology-associated products and materials in the environmental systems using both experimental and modelling approaches. Moreover, Prof Musee has published reviewed journal papers, conference articles, book chapters, delivered conference and symposium presentations (both national and international including invited presentations), and co-authored technical reports in this field. Prof Musee currently supervises and/or has supervised postgraduate students’ research on risk assessment of nanotechnology in the environmental systems, and also serves in several technical committees (national and international) as a technical advisor.

Target audience: Researchers and postgraduate students – especially Masters’ students in the process of writing a proposal.
