What exactly is #100InAMillion all about?

What exactly is #100InAMillion all about? Well, you are familiar with the notion of ‘one in a million’, right? We believe that our Tukkie students are certainly one in a million.

They are hardworking, brainy, beautiful and poised to impact our country in positive ways. That is why they deserve our support.

We don’t want them to worry about how to pay for that important text book they need for the upcoming exam, or whether they will be able to continue with their studies if their outstanding balances aren’t paid.

#100InAMillion is a campaign to encourage regular donations to our students. Each year brings in more students with the same financial needs, which is why we are adopting a long-term view.

So if 10 000 people (and yes, that includes you) each gave just R100 or more via debit order every month, we can ensure a sustainable funding stream of R1 000 000 a month.

You would be amazed at how much a student at university needs. Through this campaign, your regular support can go a long way in helping our students thrive in their studies.

Help us to Make Today Matter – sign up as a regular donor and be a Tukkie hero!

Go to https://www.facebook.com/100InAMillion to see what the campaign is all about or to http://www.up.ac.za/tsf to become a donor.

Alternatively you may contact Linda van Wyk at 420 3361 or Cheryl Benadie at  420 5026 for more information about making a monthly donation via your salary.

What’s in it for you?

A growing stable and educated society that builds a better tomorrow for us all.
