Guest seminar by Prof Catherine Champagne: 'Science without walls'

Presented by UP Institute for Food, Nutrition and Well-being, the Department of Science and Technology and the National Research Foundation Centre of Excellence in Food Security. 

‘Science without walls’

You are cordially invited to a seminar by Prof Catherine Champagne, Chief of Nutritional Epidemiology, Dietary Assessment and Counselling at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, USA, where she is also adjunct professor at the School of Human Ecology, as well as at the Department of Food Science.

The Biomedical Research Center is internationally recognised for its research on obesity and chronic disease. Prof Champagne will reflect on the success of the transdisciplinary research model used by the centre according to which researchers from 48 laboratories and 19 research facilities collaborate on the research of comprehensive, prevention-based solutions to disease and the improvement of the science of nutrition.
