Most recently, some fellow members of the Knesset called for her to be stripped of her citizenship after she had given evidence at the Russell Tribunal on Palestine (held in Cape Town last year), where she testified to Israel’s crackdown on dissenting voices. Zoabi also took part in the “Freedom Flotilla” to Gaza in 2010 and was on board the MV Mavi Marmara when it was attacked by the Israel Defence Forces.
