Professor Vinck has a Bachelor degree in Speech Therapy and Audiology from the Hogeschool in Ghent, Belgium and a Bachelor and Masters of Sciences in Logopedical and Audiological
Sciences from the University of Ghent in Belgium.
He obtained his PhD in 1998 at the University of Ghent with a thesis entitled “Distortion product otoacoustic emissions : Normative Aspects” The degree was obtained Summa Cum Laude.
From 1998 - December 2010 he was Chief Director for Audiology in the ENT Department of the University Hospital in Ghent, Full-time professor at the University of Ghent, and Director of the Speech and Hearing rehabilitation center at the University Hospital in Ghent. Since 2008 he was extra-ordinary professor at the University of Pretoria.
He started the first tinnitus clinic in Belgium, and launched a European awarded (Best Practice Award) Hearing Conservation programme called "Hearing Coach".
He is author of more than 70 international publications and he is lecturing across the world.
