NSFAS funding applications process to be reopened 

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has announced that it will reopen application processes to allow more students to apply for higher education funding in 2017. [News 24, 15 December 2016]

Applications will be reopened from 9 January to 20 January, and the results of these applications will be made known from 1 February.

The learners who applied during the first phase will know if they have been granted study loans before the release of the 2017 matric results in January.

Cell C zero-rated access for university websites extended

Cell C has announced that it will extend its offer of zero-rated access to university web sites until the end of February 2017. This will assist UP students needing to register online as well as to begin their studies in 2017.
