Every Thursday afternoon from 12:40 – 13:20, students, staff and the public can enjoy a free concert in the Musaion Theatre, University of Pretoria Hatfield Campus. The performers range from world-renowned pianists and vocalists to international orchestras and string quartets and local jazz musicians. Students from the Department of Performing Arts are also given the opportunity to perform as preparation for examination recitals.

The aim of the Lunch Hour Concerts is to contribute to the cultural development of the students and staff, expose and educate audience members to music of different cultures and genres and to hopefully start the weekend on a high note.
