“I am confident that I made the right choice in registering at the University of Pretoria. The reason I chose to study Physics is because I really love everything about it,” says Jordaan when asked about his present studies. Throughout the interview he constantly reiterates on the importance of finding a balance, accepting individual limitations as well as working hard with a future goal in mind.
Jordaan continues in describing his positive encounters with the Faculty. His initial special recollection was when the Faculty Dean, Prof Ströh, gave him a courtesy call earlier this year to congratulate him. “Today, [weeks later] the Dean spotted me outside his office. I was going to set an appointment to see him. He instantly invited me into his office in a very welcoming manner- I am motivated and greatly humbled by this intellectual’s conduct,” concludes Jordaan.
