Turning marketing research findings into marketing insights

The Department of Marketing Management hosted Ms Ineke Prinsloo, National Head of Strategy and Customer Insight at, international short-term insurance company Zurich, on 17 October 2015. Ms Prinsloo has 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has been a director on the South African Marketing Research Association (SAMRA) board for three years and is currently also the chair of SAMRA.

Ms Prinsloo presented a passionate and highly inspirational presentation to the MPhil Marketing Research students on understanding the data and information challenges marketing researchers face in South Africa and uncovering the marketing research problem, as well as understanding client needs and illustrating insights in providing the solutions to marketing research problems of clients. Students were furthermore required to analyse marketing research findings and uncover key marketing insights based upon these findings. The MPhil Marketing Research programme is offered by the Department in collaboration with GfK Verein.
