New young and dynamic Head for the Department of Marketing Management

She was the first academic to receive a reward from the direct marketing industry for her contribution to marketing education in South Africa. During 2012 she was nominated to represent the marketing industry at the European Marketing Confederation’s Academic Group. She is also one of the founding members of the South African Consumer Satisfaction Index, which was launched for the first time in South Africa in September 2012.

Prof Jordaan also has many international relations. She has lectured at universities in the United States, Australia and the Netherlands.

As researcher, she received the Mellon Foundation Award for research excellence. The University of Pretoria has also honoured her with an exceptional young researcher award and a Laureate Award for education innovation. She is an active researcher with a research fellowship at the University of Wollongong in Australia and a newly established research partnership and bursary from the University of Angers in France.

During a three-year secondment to the Executive of the University of Pretoria, she was appointed as Acting Director of the Corporate Communication and Marketing division of the University. During this period, she developed several internal initiatives for the University.
