The song was chosen for its lyrics: “It's going down, I'm yelling timber. You better move, you better dance”, which illustrates the Department’s “Marketing in Motion” theme for 2014. The goal for 2014 is to get the first-year students in motion as they start their journey at the University of Pretoria.

Even though the Department of Marketing Management strives for academic excellence, they also like to have fun and be unique. That is why the staff members welcomed the first-year students dressed as cowboys, showing that this is a department that does things in a unique and fun way. During the orientation session, the staff members introduced themselves to the students and shared an inspirational message on how to make a success in the challenging world of marketing.
