Staff at the Reproduction Clinic of the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital at UP's Faculty of Veterinary Science joined the South African Guide-Dogs Association in celebrating the 100th guide-dog litter conceived via artificial insemination since the programme was launched in 2014.

Residents of Mamelodi have since 2011 been able to have their pets checked, vaccinated & sterilised at the Mamelodi Animal Health Clinic. This low-cost clinic is on UP’s Mamelodi Campus and is managed by UP's Faculty of Veterinary Science.
