Student affairs

The student body is responsible for all matters relating to informal and organised sport, cultural and religious affairs.

Faculty teams participate in many sport events at the University’s Hatfield campus whereas individuals may also participate in central University teams or even in regional and/or national events.

Religious affairs are similarly organised by the student body. The areas surrounding the Faculty have ample representation of the major religious denominations.

The student body is also responsible for cultural activities. These include formal and informal events ranging from photographic and art exhibitions to wine tasting events and a “formal” Dean’s cultural evening where the many talents of the many gifted students are exposed.

There are many social events on the annual Faculty calendar. The majority of these are totally student-driven and range from very informal to less informal including the University’s annual rag. More formal occasions are also arranged to welcome new students to the campus and to recognise and reward the academic achievements of undergraduate students. A gala farewell event at the end of the year for final year students usually marks the end of the major academic activities.
