Marketing students ‘rise and shine’ with Satiskin exam projects

Posted on October 14, 2019

The third-year BCom (Marketing Management) students partnered with AMKA products (Pty) Ltd for their practical project for 2019. Although AMKA products has a variety of brands in their stable, the students worked on the Satiskin shower gel range. The challenge posed to the students was to create awareness for Satiskin shower gel in the 18-25 year female middle-income market. Student teams had to develop an integrated brand communication plan to increase the awareness of Satiskin shower gel linked to the ‘Rise and Shine’ slogan. The plan had to include a digital marketing strategy, shopper marketing strategy as well as an experiential campaign. Students presented their plans to a panel of Satiskin executives and lecturers on 26 August 2019 as part of their final examination.

Students’ hard work paid off as the exam panel was very impressed with the high quality of their exam presentations and creative ideas. Students’ efforts were recognised and their achievements celebrated with a prize-giving event sponsored by Satiskin in September 2019.
