If your appeal is rejected by the Faculty Appeals Committee, you may escalate it to the Senate Review Committee on Readmission. The Committee will review the process followed by the Faculty Appeals Committee, the reasons provided, compliance with university progression rules, and whether the appeal was conducted fairly. After deliberation, the Committee may uphold the faculty's decision or refer the matter back for further consideration, with the final decision resting with the faculty.

While awaiting feedback, excluded students may continue their studies at their own risk, as readmission is not guaranteed. If the Committee upholds the faculty's decision, the student will be dismissed. It’s recommended that excluded students begin exploring alternative arrangements. 

To request a review, access your Student Portal, select the Academic Information tile, click on Appeals, and follow the on-screen prompts.

 

 

Click on the Apply button for the Senate Review Committee on Readmission.

 

The following screen will indicate that you have already provided information and reasons to your Faculty Appeals Committee. This will be the same information that the Senate Review Committee will use to review why you were dismissed by the Faculty Appeals Committee.

The Senate Review Committee on Readmission meeting dates:

Semester 1: The final submission date is 30 January 2025. Meeting dates: 03 February 2025 to 07 February 2025

Semester 2: The final submission date 16 July 2025. Meeting dates: 18 July 2025 to 23 July 2025
