All prospective postgraduate students MUST register as soon as possible before they can be allowed on campus according to the University of Pretoria requirements at the beginning of 2020. Please note that classes also start on 3 February. You must attend classes and you must register before the classes start. Please register online for your honours field of specialisation: Information Science, Multimedia or Publishing and please ensure that you register before classes start. You are strongly advised to do the degree over two years if you are working fulltime. The following apply for each field:

  • Information Science: please register for all applicable modules – core as well as elective modules (your choices will be checked at the first meeting). See the course brochure here
  • Multimedia: please register for all applicable modules – core as well as elective modules (your choices will be checked at the first meeting)
  • Publishing: please register for all applicable modules – core as well as elective modules (your choices will be checked at the first meeting)

All honours students must attend the first meeting at the beginning of the year during which very important information concerning your study direction, course content, confirmation of your choice of modules and timetable will be conveyed to you. Please bring your registration form along which indicates what modules you registered for. This meeting will be 27 January – please see the detail below.

Students registering for their second year (i.e. part time students or full time students with outstanding modules) are welcome to attend the first meeting or they can contact the coordinator for their honours degree (i.e. Information Science, Multimedia or Publishing) to confirm their choice of modules.

Students who need to register for a third year need to contact the coordinator for their honours degree (i.e. Information Science, Multimedia or Publishing) before registering online to verify if they are allowed to continue with their studies.
