On Tuesday, 2 November 2021, leaders from the Netherdutch Reformed Church of Africa (NRCA or NHKA in Afrikaans) met with representatives from the executive of the University of Pretoria to sign a revised partnership agreement between their respective institutions.
Dating back more than 100 years, this partnership, specifically with the Faculty of Theology and Religion, has stood the test of time, making it possible for countless ministers from the Reformed tradition to be trained and deployed to congregations around the country and across the globe.
Among the distinguished guests were Prof Tawana Kupe, Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Pretoria, Prof Jerry Pillay, Dean of the Faculty of Theology and Religion, Prof Ernest van Eck, Deputy Dean of the Faculty, and Dr Andre Ungerer, head of the formation programme for students from the Dutch Reformed Church in Africa.
