Prof Julian Müller welcomed all present and Wayne Renkin, chairperson of House Theology, expressed his well wishes to all Theology students for the upcoming year.

Prof Johann Buitendag, Dean of the Faculty Theology, conducted the worship service. The scripture reading was Mark 10:50, 14:51, 52 as well as Mark 16:5-7. The core of the message was that theology contributes to the understanding of reality.

After the service Proff De la Rey and Crewe joined the staff for refreshments at the Theology building. Students had the opportunity to mingle while enjoying pizza and cool drink, after which classes resumed.
