The M&G’s Book of SA Women celebrates women across diverse fields doing remarkable things and Dr Van Niekerk was included in the publication as one of the women in South Africa who are making a real difference through her work at PEN. She is a founding member and chief executive of PEN, a non-profit, non-denominational, Christian-based organisation working to improve the lives of people in the inner city of Pretoria.
