During the General Assembly, a General Commission is also elected, consisting of six ministers and nine elders. Prof Ernest van Eck, from the Department of New Testament Studies, was elected as a member of the General Commission. Prof Van Eck has already served two terms in the Commission and supports advancement on matters such as ecclesiology and ethics.
The Faculty congratulates both Dr Dreyer and Prof van Eck. This is a clear indication that the churches, who are partners with the Faculty, place a lot of trust in members of the Faculty.
