The amended regulation will be implemented in the following way in the faculty of Humanities:

1. Candidates who submit dissertations or theses in their current period of registration will be examined according to the old regulation whereby the supervisor acts as internal examiner.

2. The new regulation will apply to candidates who reach the point of needing to re-register before they are ready to submit. This is because re-registration implies the entering of a new contract , allowing the university to change the terms of the preceding contract.
