House Humanities

House Humanities is a student structure under the Division of Student Development consisting of an Executive Committee of twelve members. For the 2024/2025 term, our goal is to provide support and compassionate presence to students. We aim to balance academic pursuits with student life through extracurricular activities, including social events, sports, and outreach initiatives.

Academically, we assist students with grievances and provide access to essential resources. The academic portfolio collaborates with class representatives to foster leadership skills grounded in academic excellence.

The Sports portfolio seeks to engage more students in faculty competitions and university sports teams, promoting physical and mental well-being in the face of academic pressures.

We also run various outreach projects throughout the year, encouraging student involvement to raise awareness of socio-economic issues and the importance of giving back to the community.

Our monthly social events offer students opportunities to connect informally. Major events include Insync early in the year and Mokete wa Humanities, hosted in September.

House Humanities will provide biweekly newsletters to keep students informed about faculty activities. We encourage students to follow us on social media (@househumanitiesup) for the latest updates and engaged communication and our clickUP module for all registered students.

We are here to enhance your university experience. Feel free to visit us at Humanities Building 9-33 for assistance.
