Online writing tutorial

Posted on February 01, 2011

It is not an instruction book but a real tutorial. I thought you might all like the URL again as well as the reference to the other resources I mentioned, so here they are:
  • EI will download Grammarly for Blackboard™ into clickUP. It automatically evaluates the quality of student writing and provides students with expanded feedback. Students would use this tool before submitting assignments.
  • Students with reading difficulties can be referred to the reading laboratory located in the Student Affairs division. (Students can contact 012 420 2333 or Student Affairs Building, room 2-13, for bookings.) The medical campus students can contact Prof Danie Lombard but they probably already know about the reading lab program there as it is compulsory part of the EOT course.
I also thought you might like to check out the following URL for an online tutorial on writing a dissertation produced by Leicester for its Master's students as a pre-proposal course for the dissertation. It might prove a useful resource if we have to align our Honours programmes to the HEQF and introduce 30 credits of research. It is also an OER so can be re-purposed by each department according to the referencing in the creative commons licence:
