Mr David Farirai, former Head: International Relations and also Coordinator for the Erasmus Mundus (EUROSA and SAPIENT) scholarship programmes before, left the University of Pretoria on 31 January 2012. I have been asked to take over this responsibility.
I was informed yesterday by Ms Anouk de Weerdt from the University of Antwerp, that they will be visiting South Africa later in February 2012 on a Road show to assist staff and students who are interested in applying and also to give more information on the programmes. They will be visiting the University of Pretoria on Wednesday 22 February 2012 for 3 hours from 13:00. I have arranged the Blue Room in the Old Chemistry Building (next to the Quality Unit) on the Hatfield campus.
It leaves us unfortunately with limited time to prepare for the visit and also before the closing date of EUROSA applications (which is 12 March 2012).
The EUROSA group will award 70 grants in total in 2012 to support South African mobility to Europe at Master, PhD and staff levels. Who are eligible to apply?
