In 2007, the University of Pretoria's Concert Ensemble sadly breathed its last breath, but in 2012 it has risen from the ashes in a new form – fresh, funky and with much more flair!

The UP Wind Band is made up of vibrant young musicians from all faculties of the University of Pretoria who come together to create music with a fresh new sound.

Performing a repertoire from the contemporary classical, big band, classic rock and pop genres, audiences can look forward to excellent entertainment. Eddie Clayton, esteemed musical director and conductor of South African Tattoo, Tree Aan and Lied van my Hart fame, will be leading from the podium along with his right-hand man, Jaco van Staden, an up-and-coming young conductor.
