As you know, the end-of-year timeframe for processing appointments and claims is very tight because the date for the December payroll closes earlier due to the University's closure for the festive season. In light of the above, a number of logistical arrangements need to be put in place:

• The closing date for claims for services rendered for the November payroll is 31 October 2012 as usual.
• The appointments to be captured for the December payroll must be submitted by 11 November 2012 and claims for services rendered for the December payroll must be submitted by 21 November 2012.
• The appointments for the January payroll must be submitted by 3 December 2012 and claims for services rendered for the January payroll must be submitted by 14 December 2012.
Please ensure that documents pertaining to appointments and claims reach the Faculty's HR Office by these dates. Your cooperation by submitting your documentation as early as possible and generally abiding by these deadlines will be highly appreciated.
