This venue has recently been inaugurated by Dr Ceri Ashley from the Department. Mari Dreyer and Johan Pretorius from Facilities and Services, which have been involved in the project, were also invited to attend this occasion. The hard work of Ms Lynette Holthauzen, the project coordinator, as well as students and two cleaners, was acknowledged with gratitude.

 The increased number of postgraduate students and tutors in the Department necessitates expansion of this facility. The venue has been upgraded to provide more working surface and enhance modernisation. Provision has also been made for 16 extra seats and three computers with printers, of which one can scan directly to students’ emails. Room was also made for a ten-seater lounge complete with working space for six laptops where student consultations can take place.
