Professor Norman Duncan officially welcomed participants to the conference that had as its aim to provide a platform for the discussion of projects with Pretoria as a central focus. The conference was truly multidisciplinary, with scholars from Humanities, Engineering, Law, Theology, and Natural and Agricultural Sciences in attendance. Panels revolved around themes that included ‘Cities Revisioned’, ‘Cities Represented’, ‘Cities Mapped and Cities Lived’. The conference concluded with a discussion of ongoing and future research.
