World Polio Day

World Polio day is commemorated on 24 October 2021 and was initiated by Rotary International over a decade ago to celebrate the birth of Jonas Salk, who developed a vaccine against poliomyelitis. The World Polio Day 2021 Theme is “One Day. One Focus: Ending Polio – delivering on our promise of a polio-free world!”
