Applied Research Methods (TNM 700/802)

Introduction

 

The Applied Research Methods course is a compulsory attendance course for all postgraduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences (Honours, Masters, including MMed students, as well as PhD students that have not yet done a formal research methods/protocol writing course).

 

Exemption

If at any time you have already completed such a course or one similar you may ask for exemption by completing the form https://www.up.ac.za/media/shared/8/TNM/application-for-credit-of-courses-transfer-credits.zp245343.pdf and sending it to [email protected]. You need to provide evidence of the aspects that were covered elsewhere (like a study guide or programme) and proof of “passing” the course. (e.g. a certificate).

Note:  You must be registered for the 2025 academic year and have TNM 700/802 on your academic record.  You will then self-enrol via ClickUP - please view the video above for more information on the process.
