The Acting Head of Radiography Department, Mable Kekana was awarded a PhD in Education. Her research focused on Teaching and Learning Ethics and Human Rights in the Radiography undergraduate programme.

She also completed the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) facilitator trainer course presented by the Dutch Collaborating Centre of the World Health Organisation.

As part of the training, Dr Kekana incorporated the ICF approach to patient assessment and clinical history as part of the third-year radiography course. She presented a paper on this project at the 4th International Symposium: ICF Education, which was held in Kuwait City on 6 and 7 April 2019. We hope she will share her experience with all healthcare professionals in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
