This year’s Sister-week kicked off with a “speed dating” session between the first years and semi/seniors. They were divided into groups and had a quick “get to know one another” before moving on to the next lady. After the speed dating the girls had an idea of who they would like to charm during the Sister-week. Charming kicked off that same night. Little gifts, like chocolate, doors full of sticky notes and even plants were exchanged between the, soon to be sisters. The next Monday night all the sisters came down for a quick social with one another. The semi/senior with a Spikkel, now “sister”, placed their name on the sister tree in the Rec hall. The girls thoroughly enjoyed Sister-week making this event one of the highlights to the start of the year. Our Magrietjie vision of creating a sisterhood among Magrietjies lives on with wonderful bonds formed over the past week.
