The winning float from the Magrietjie and Maroela 2016 Rag partnership (known as "Ons Mag Mar") successfully displayed the in-house theme 'from Paris to Sydney - the jungle to the beach'.
Despite the short Rag engagement these two residences showed Tuks that they are a power couple to be reckoned with. The 2016 overall Rag theme was "Going on Holiday", and so the Rag HKs Dalreé de Lange (Magrietjie) and Gerhard Farrel (Maroela) jumped at the chance to go around the world in 80 days.
The Rag committees got together and after many weeks of hard work, the float looked exactly the way the Rag HKs imaged it. With loads of midnight sessions and team work "Ons Mag Mar" got it done. This partnership was made to last with the winning Rag float trophy as proof!
It just goes to show: 'Ons Mag Mar'!
