What a great way to start welome week!
On 16 January 2016 the new Spikkels made Magrietjie their new home. They had the chance to move and settle in with the help of their parents, siblings and sometimes even boyfriends!
After saying goodbye to the parents the Spikkels had 15min to get ready and get changed into their flower shirts and three quarter pants. HK Catherine, HK Cherise and HK Dalreé taught them their first Magrietjie songs and the Spikkels smashed it by learning three songs in one hour! A record time!
They became part of the Magrietjie legacy by learning the "Knikkel en Skitter", which is the way Spikkels greet their HK and they also learned the "Huppel", a treasured tradition that has been passed through 34 generations of Magrietjies.
The Spikkels final session for the night was with the House Parents where they met Magnum and Rommel, Magrietjie’s most loved pets. After that they had a get-to-know-your-floor session in their corridors where they played name games and had a good laugh.
Over all the Spikkels had an exhausting, yet fun move in day!
