Magrietjie ladies attended the annual External Prestige evening on the 9th of October 2013 in the Rembrandt Hall, all proudly dressed in pink. Nearly all cultural awards went to Magrietjie. Our dear Christine van Aswegen was awarded the prestigious prize of External HK 2012/2013. This special prize set the stage for the following cultural awards: External Culture Residence of the Year and CULTURE RESIDENCE OF THE YEAR! On top of these prizes, Magrietjie was also awarded the Director's Trophy for Residence Excellence. This award is allocated for "being a well-balanced residence, where a real difference has been made to the lives of the residents, TuksRes and UP".
