In 2020 we welcomed two new members to our team. Adedayo joined us as a lecturer in the Geoinformatics progamme, whereas Lourens joined us as the Senior Cartographer in our Geospatial Information Services section.

Adedayo is a geomatics professional, focusing on remote sensing and GIS techniques and applications. His PhD focused on integrating remote sensing and GIS techniques to build a web-based tool that models and evaluates the potentials of building-integrated solar photovoltaic systems. He will be teaching Geometric and Space Geodesy, Surveying, Spatial Statistics, and Geodesy.   

Lourens is currently enrolled in his PhD Geography at the University of Pretoria. His research interests centre on geographic accessibility, spatial behavioural economics, spatial analysis, and map visualisation.
