Research profile

Adedayo is a lecturer in the Department of Geography, Geoinformatics and Meteorology at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is a Geomatics professional, focusing on Remote Sensing and GIS techniques and applications. Adedayo’s PhD focused on integrating Remote Sensing and GIS techniques to build a web-based tool that models and evaluates the potentials of building-integrated solar photovoltaic systems. His postdoctoral work focuses on using deep learning techniques in detecting building roofs with solar panels installed. Adedayo also serves as reviewer for some journals. His research interests include Object-based Image Analysis (OBIA), feature detection and extraction from high resolution images, machine and deep learning, GIS applications in renewable energy (site suitability and resource estimation).
