The Laboratory for Atmospheric Science (LAS) conducts integrated problem based research in finding solutions to South Africa’s atmospheric related challenges. The LAS sits within the Department of Geography, Geoinformatics and Meteorology, which has a long track-record of teaching and research in atmospheric science.The University of Pretoria has a long history of being the only tertiary institute in southern Africa to present undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Meteorology. LAS is striving to build a collaborative community across the University and South Africa on atmospheric science and its impacts.
