The Department of Institutional Recruitment in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering Built Environment and Information Technology hosted the ESKOM Expo for young scientist educators conference on 10 February 2024 at Javett Art Centre. The conference was attended by over 150 Science, Technology and Mathematics educators from in and around Gauteng who adjudicate on the projects of the leaners whom participate in the science fair. The ESKOM Expo for Young Scientist is a National Science fair whereby learners from all over South Africa meet in different provinces to showcase their scientific project, with the best project being awarded. Established in 1980 the Expo for Young Scientist attracts the best of students who are passionate about STEM innovative projects.
