Posted on September 14, 2021

Dr Hanlie Smuts, an Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics, EBIT faculty at the University of Pretoria, has been appointed as deputy chair of the Knowledge Management South Africa (KMSA) Board. The objective of KMSA is to look after the interests of knowledge management (KM) practitioners and the professionalisation, promotion, study and standardisation of KM in South Africa (SA). In August 2021 KMSA hosted an extremely successful Knowledge e-Imbizo with the theme: Co-creating the Knowledge Agenda to Build Social Capital showcasing international and national speakers and thought leaders. Prof Smuts’ research focus in knowledge management such as AI4KM, KM4D and Society 5, the human-centred society, are well aligned to the aims of KMSA. Please connect with KMSA via our social media properties or visit our website for more information.
