SPMA staff play their part on Mandela Day

Posted on August 03, 2020

Staff from the School of Public Management and Administration (SPMA) have not let the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic prevent them from participating in Nelson Mandela Day.

This year, they heeded a call for supplies from Employment Solutions, which is a Pretoria-based non-profit organisation that has been empowering persons with disabilities according to their unique capabilities through integrated and meaningful employment options, for more than 20 years.

“It is a tradition of the SPMA to spend Mandela Day with a worthy cause and although not all staff could actively participate, they felt strongly about contributing to the needy,” says Charmaine Galante from the SPMA. She collected all the contributions and delivered it to Employment Solutions on behalf of the SPMA on 17 July 2020.

The generous donations were received by Doreen Mokhutso, a representative of Employment Solutions.
