The mission of the EMS Faculty is to advance relevant knowledge and develop employable, innovative and diverse graduates to co-create value for society.
The vision of the EMS Faculty is to be at the cutting edge of economic, financial and management education, research, and community engagement within the national, African and global context.
The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences has adopted a shared commitment to support its mission and vision:

Teaching and Learning
Facilitate relevant teaching and learning programmes and meaningful learning experiences that are, in accordance with best practices, innovative and prepare our students optimally within their respective spheres of interest.
Build on the positive research growth trends in the faculty to position our research in the highest impact outlets possible, while ensuring its relevance to the private and public sector.
Community engagement and partnerships
Follow an interdisciplinary approach, facilitating community engagement, fostering partnerships and engaging our stakeholders in meaningful and beneficial relationships.

Foster and sustain a diverse, inclusive and equitable student and staff community.
