Academic Success Coaches (ASCs)

The services offered the Academic Success Coaches (ASCs) include individual consultations and workshops dealing with:

Academic support
Goal setting & motivation
Adjustment to university life
Time management
Study methods
Test / Exam preparation
Stress Management
Career exploration

In the EMS Faculty we also offer an “academic early warning system” known as Phafoga (means “wake up and be alert”) to all first years, as well as focused support by the ASCs for first generation students to assist them with challenges specific to their situation.
