Three BCom Internal Auditing honours students and their lecturer Mr Rudrik du Bruyn, who is also IAEP coordinator for the Centre of Excellence in Internal Auditing, attended the 9^th Annual Internal Audit Educational Partnership (IAEP) Program Networking Retreat and Educator Forum in Florida, USA in September 2015.

Luvuyo Hlatshaneni, Whelna Crous and Isme Swarts, joined the more than 70 students from all over the world attending the retreat and actively seeking employment opportunities within internal auditing. The highlight of the event was the case study competition, where students were given the opportunity to showcase their presentation skills, as well as the depth of their knowledge in internal auditing. Students were grouped into 11 randomly selected teams for the case competition and had to analyse and present the case to the practitioners (prospective employers). Luvuyo Hlatshaneni and Isme Swarts came second and third respectively in the group case competition, once again demonstrating the quality of the students of the University of Pretoria, and specifically the Department of Auditing, excelling abroad.

It is always a great experience for the students to learn from the corporate leaders and also to compete with internal auditing students from some of the top programmes around the world.
