Transferring from one undergraduate degree to another
To assist students in finishing their degrees in minimum time as is the goal of the Fly @ UP project, it is crucial that students are enrolled for degrees they are passionate about. Unfortunately some students make the wrong degree choice initially or do not immediately comply with the entrance requirements of their degree of choice. To assist students in migrating to their degree of choice, the modules in the first semester of the first year are largely generic (same modules presented to all students) and ample opportunity is provided to students during especially the first year, to transfer to their degree of choice provided the student complies with certain set transfer requirements. The Transfer Guidance of the EMS Faculty
provides detail on requirements to be met to transfer between degrees and when transfers can be done. Note that to be considered for transfer to a degree of choice, a student needs to meet the transfer requirements set for that specific targetted degree.
