Dr Hoffman's study background entails a post-doctoral fellowship with a focus area on nutrition during pregnancy and early development at North-West University. She obtained her PhD in 2015 and her PhD study was part of a large randomised controlled trial which determined the effect of Lipid-Based Nutritional supplements on the growth and development of infants. Her current research area focuses on infant nutrition with a special focus on feeding practices and nutrient intake in association with development during infancy.
