The University of Pretoria, Department of Mercantile Law in collaboration with the Gauteng Office of Consumer Affairs (GOCA) will host a dialogue on contemporary issues on consumer protection law with a specific focus on Credit Law, Aspects of Banking Law, and General Consumer Protection Law. The theme is “Rethinking and Revitalising the Role of Regulatory Bodies to Enhance Consumer Protection in South Africa”. The dialogue aims to strengthen consumer protection within the financial sector and the consumer marketplace for goods and services. As well bring various stakeholders to discuss conssumer law challenges.
