If you have received the exciting news that you have been accepted to study your preferred course at the University of Pretoria, the next important step to take (after sharing the wonderful news with family and friends) is to register at the UP.
Why every student must register
Completing the registration process before your course starts is very important, as it ensures the following for every academic year:
It only takes a few steps to complete the registration process:
1 Complete the University of Pretoria contract, which can be accessed on the UP Student Portal. Students must complete this contract online, submit it, and print and sign a copy.
2 Once signed, the completed contract should be uploaded to the UP Student Portal as soon as possible under the 'Upload supporting documentation' section.
3 The University will notify you when your student card is marked as valid, which means you can proceed to register for your course modules.
Without completing this student registration process, you will lose access to the module materials on the UP Student Portal and your lecturers and supervisor.
