The University of Pretoria aims to provide students with the best possible academic resources, research facilities, extra-curricular activities, student services, and overall learning experience.

In order to realise this, the on-time payment of tuition fees is critical. Every payment that each student makes contributes to the UP remaining one of the top public universities in South Africa.

General information

• The preferred payment method is EFT or direct bank deposits.
• All South African students should pay at the bank 5 days before arrival.
• If international students pay from the bank in their home country it may take up to 7 working days for payment to reflect in UP's account. Please pay in advance.
• If an EFT or online credit card payments does not reflect on a student account after 3 working days, please send a proof of payment with the student number in the subject line to [email protected]
• Please view your student account on the UP Portal Self Service for the amount payable. Students with no holds on their account may proceed with registration.
