Prof Beth le Roux, head of the Publishing Studies division from the Department of Information Science, attended the International Authors Forum (IAF) Annual General Meeting (AGM and Symposiums in her capacity as a Board member of the Academic and Non-Fiction Authors Association of South Africa (ANFASA).

IAF AGM 2023 | Power of Authors Conference | Pan African Writers Symposium was a joint meeting of the International Authors Forum (IAF) and the Pan African Writers Symposium (PAWS) in Cape Town from March 6 to 8, ANFASA hosted the meeting at the Centre for the Book, and it was attended by delegates from six African countries and several European countries. At a gala dinner, Prof le Roux also presented the awards for the ANFASA Grant Scheme for Authors (AGSA) to 12 academics and authors from across South Africa. Prof le Roux is one of the adjudicators for this award scheme, which is funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in South Africa.
